Remember to block your new fabric before doing anything with it.

What do I mean but that?

Lay your fabric out on the biggest flattest surface you own. For me it is my big area rug. Spray the fabric with a water mister and pin it in a flat and rectangular shape. Then Iron it till it gives up trying to be stretchy and wrinkly. You may need to re-mist and move your pins as you go.
Let the fabric cool.
Now you should be ready to cut it and use it as you would any other fabric.

Your iron and water bottle are your friend.
